Add your personal information

Add information about yourself to your RealMe account. We’ll verify your details once, and then you can choose to share them with any organisation that use RealMe. Your verified identity only needs to be renewed every five years.

Identity

A verified identity means you can prove who you are to any organisation that uses RealMe.  You'll need to give us some identity information online and visit a PostShop to have your photo taken.

Share your information with organisations that need it

Each time you sign up for a service that uses the RealMe service, you'll be prompted to approve the information RealMe will share. Click to consent and RealMe can pre-populate your application with all the details you've approved — it's quick, painless, and you stay in control.

Use your verified information to do things like:

  • open a bank account with BNZ
  • apply for a student loan or allowance
  • enrol to vote
  • order birth, death and marriage certificates.
