New Zealand’s first property auction online, supported by the simplicity and security of a RealMe verified identity, was conducted last night –  2 November 2016.

Initially scheduled to be held on 24 October 2016, but extended by a week to accommodate huge online bidder demand, the Tauranga property that was listed with a $1 reserve was eventually sold following over an hour of active online bidding.

In a great example of high confidence digital identity enabling new ways of doing business, all parties are thrilled with the auction result – the vendor is ecstatic, the successful bidder is thrilled, and the real estate agent is claiming “he has now officially tasted the future of real estate”.
