Tips for taking your own photo

You can apply for a verified identity online with a New Zealand passport or New Zealand citizenship certificate, providing your passport or citizenship certificate was issued after 2004.

Then take your own photo, or get one taken for free at a participating photo store.

If you're aged 13 or younger, your parent or legal guardian willl need to give their written consent in order for you to complete your application. You'll also need to take them with you if you're getting your photo taken at a store.
